Also always Bring-
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Antiperspirant/Deodorant
Snacks as practices get longer
Plenty of water!
A question raised at the Parent Meeting:
What are expectations for the band members and props/instruments?
Mr. Palmer laid out expectations at the start of the season at kick off night that practice starts at the call time (instruments ready, band member ready to go). They will also practice right up until the end of practice time (for example, practice end time listed at 9PM, will end at 9PM). However, it is expected that not only will your student be expected to pack up their instrument and leave, but, they are expected EVERY TIME to help with the other larger instruments and props. This will mean your student will not be out to your car ready to leave at the listed practice time. If the whole band helps, the faster they will leave!
Our First Football games and performances will be next weekend!
If you take any pictures of the band and band events, please upload them to our Google drive! We use them at the banquet at the end of the season (November 10th), as well as we put together a Marching Band yearbook at the end of the season. Here is the link:
If you are willing to donate items directly to the band, we appreciate them all. We need gallon and cases of water bottles, snacks and some various items. We are including an Amazon Wish list below- if you would like to use it, great, but it doesn't need to be from the list.
