Week of June 29th-July 5th

Coon Rapids Parade this week!   Call time at the high school is 3PM,  Return to the high school time is 7:30 PM.  Mr. Palmer sent more information out by email on Thursday.

If you need help with transportation, please start by reaching out in the Band App or the parent facebook group. If your child needs to miss a rehearsal or event for any reason please, go to the absence form in the Marching Band Google classroom and fill it out.

We have scheduled our make up night for the stormed out Unight #2  on July 29th from 5:30-8:30PM,  as well as our Unight #3 is soon after on August 10th from 1-5PM.  We need 11-12 drivers for each of these fundraising opportunities.  We did so well at our first Unight- raising over $4000 after online donations have been trickling in!!!

Remember for all Parades

  Wear Viper Marching shoes (musicians) or Black assigned Tennis Shoes (Color guard), New Red Parade Shirt, Black Shorts, Black Crew socks. 

Also Bring- 

• Sunscreen

• Antiperspirant/Deodorant 

• Plenty of water!

Looking Ahead

• Marching Band Family Picnic will be August 5th at Coon Rapids Dam- Yes families are invited, not just kids!

• A-H Showcase will be Saturday August 23rd, we will need parent volunteers to help make this work!

• State Fair Parade will be on August 26th

• We will be putting out a spirit store again this year, information will be sent out in the near future.  

Miscellaneous

• If you take any pictures of the band and band events, please upload them to our Google drive! We use them at the banquet at the end of the season (November 10th), as well as we put together a Marching Band yearbook at the end of the season. Here is the link:

• If you are willing to donate items directly to the band, we appreciate them all. We need gallon and cases of water bottles, snacks and some various items.  We are including an Amazon Wish list below- if you would like to use it, great, but it doesn't need to be from the list.
